New grants from ID-UB
We are pleased to announce that a second-year bachelor’s student, Paulina Rajwa, is the winner of the competition no. 154 ADVANCEDBestStudentGRANT from the funds of the project “Initiative of Excellence – Research University”. The subject of the project concerns The stability of selected forms of arsenic found in plant material and fungi depending on the method of sample storage. The project supervisor is prof. Przemysław Niedzielski.
In the case of master’s studies, Laura Jęcz is the laureate of the competition no. 155 Study@Research from the funds of the project “Excellence Initiative – Research University”. The subject of the project is Research on the relationship between the content of elements in yerba mate and the degree of water mineralization.
In addition, first-year Master’s students in Archaeology and Archeometry, Jan Czeski and Filip Meredyk, also received funding in this competition for the project Archaeometric studies of a set of stained glass fragments from the former Cistercian monastery in Bierzwnik.
The scientific supervisor of both projects is Dr. Jędrzej Proch, who also received funding for his own research entitled Determination of elements in heated tobacco products (HTP) for health risk assessment – development of an extensive analytical procedure, in competition no. 140 50 x 50: fifty grants for 50 young scientists.
