Internship at the Atomic Spectrometry Laboratory (Brno, Czech Republic)

PhD student Anna Różewska completed an internship at the atomic spectrochemistry laboratory at the Faculty of Chemistry, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, from September 21st to October 4th, 2025. The main goal of the internship was to evaluate the efficiency and comparability of analyses based on LIBS (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy) technology. Comparisons were performed on wood cores (including oak, pine, and spruce) and certified plant materials. In addition to quantitative analyses, LIBS mapping of wood samples was also performed. Now it’s time to process and interpret the obtained results and prepare a scientific article.
