The research group conducts research in the field of analytical chemistry focusing on trace analysis and determination of the content of element forms – speciation studies. The main research streams are:

– developing new procedures and instruments construction within hyphenated techniques;

– determination of the content of elements in various samples (water, soil, sediment, rocks, food, plants, fungi, human and animal tissues);

– geochemical studies on the transportation of sediments of various origins (tsunamis, glaciers, storms);

– archaeometrical research on the elemental composition of archaeological artefacts in research on the origin and methods of their production.
